Broadcasting the Voices of the Industry
I believe that God has set our paths before us in life and that each undertaking gives us the understanding and experience to forge to the next path. Over the years I have broke bread with many business owners in the Crime, Trauma and Death Scene Industry as well as other related industries. I have also worked with many business leaders, industry leaders, vendors and suppliers. In these many years I have attended many trade shows as well as multiple classes with various instructors. Over these years there has been both strong friendships forged and conflicts and many resolved differences. I also tend to not only speak my mind, but also say what other people may be thinking or wanting to say, but do not. Many say I can be an ass hole; others think I am the whole ass. I like to think that I am not an ass but can be one at times.
I entered the Victim Service / Crime, Trauma & Death Scene Cleanup Industry in June of 1996. A time where there were no schools or other mentors to follow. My first company was called Metro Crime Scene Disposal Unit which evolved in into A-1 Bio Clean Service with my business partner and life long bride Sheila Powell. In 2010 I then developed a partnership with Todd Reese who owned Sloan Bio Recovery. We both created Georgia Clean and Associates together with much success. Since Todd’s retirement in 2016, Doug Cunningham a former Bio One franchise owner bought Todd’s shares of Georgia Clean and helped grow Georgia Clean to the large respected firm it is today. Now Gordy leads and is Host of the podcast Bio Cast 411, interviewing leaders, movers and shakers and important services and providers in the trauma cleanup industry.
